Pre Requisites

- MAx years of experience with Oracle /Relational Database technologies, to include familiarity with 10g and 11g features. - Experience and proven understanding of managing database roles. - Experience and proven understanding of managing database logins, users, and user profiles. - Experience and proven understanding of managing database audit events and audit records. - Experience and proven understanding of managing system and database traces and trace files. - Experience with database encryption methodologies. - Understanding of database compression algorithms and implications to security. - Experience in partitioning, security, SQL performance tuning, database tuning parameters, memory management, statistics gathering, application audit logs, scheduling, administration, maintenance and monitoring. - Strong SQL skills - Experience with database migrations, for both hardware refreshes and environment upgrades.  - Experience in senior business systems analysis and/or design. - Strong proven verbal and written communication skills, including business and technical writing skills.  - Demonstrated ability to communicate concepts and ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.  - Demonstrated ability to interface with all organizational levels. - Experience in preparing Business Requirements Documentation, Test Plan and Test scripts. - Capacity to develop a clear understanding of the business needs and incorporate these needs into technical solutions. - Proven problem solving and analytical skills.  - Ability to work independently and manage sometimes competing priorities. 
ADDITIONAL SKILLS THAT WILL DISTINGUISH CANDIDATES  / Preferred Skills  - Information security technology experience. - Hands-on application security assessment and testing. - Application security planning and security architecture. - Peer code review. - Knowledge of impact analysis, and risk analysis as they apply to extremely complex applications. - Experience in database architecture, data modeling and schema design. - Knowledge of and experience supporting database firewall and other database security solutions. - Experience with SQL injection detection and prevention strategies. - PKI knowledge and experience. - CISSP or comparable security certification. - Oracle Database Administrator Certification 10g or 11g.

Kaizen Promotion Officer
 

Execution

• High priority (i.e. cross functional, high impact) Kaizen events and DMAIC projects.
• General duties to support and improve the TAM ACES program locally and globally as part of WW TAM ACES

Facilitation

• Execution of WW TAM ACES Strategy
• Creation and maintenance of local "ACES Issues Pipeline" (list of all currently known seller impacting process issues identified by VOC or VOA)
• Review, categorization and prioritization of global "ACES Issues Pipeline" entries and improvement project opportunities, identified on Amazon Services owned websites (i.e. Help Pages, Seller Central, and YUMA)
• Local project pipeline consisting of regular scheduling of new projects - with local resources assigned - by HQ and local management, including NPT (Non Production Time) planning and preliminary impact/benefit calculations
• Improvement phase of local projects (project team soliciting SDE input & feedback, preparing IT development requests for IT sprint, and checking for relevant "off the shelf" solutions from internal and external sources)
• Evaluation of completed projects from WW TAM ACES for local relevance by local management team, make recommendations, and support implementation

Coaching & Training

• Local management and coach associates on ACES philosophy & methodologies
• Assign project teams on application of proper process improvement and project management methodologies / acts as a local resource
• Local ACES Apprentices (second year)

Quality Engineer - Manufacturing/Lean Six Sigma/Corrective Action

An American global diversified industrial company is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations with specific focus on supplier quality including new supplier qualification, new part qualification and supplier corrective action in Tyler, TX. This is a 1 year CONTRACT position, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates only, no per diem available.
Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer

• Resolution of supplier quality issues by utilization of an existing supplier corrective action system to ensure structured problem solving methodologies are employed and effective corrective actions are executed
• Supplier quality support for new component and new product introduction
• Containment and initial response to supplier quality escapes that disrupt or may potentially disrupt production operations
• Coordination of PPAP activity including initiation of PSWs, evaluation of PPAP document submissions and disposition of approval requests

Requirements for the Quality Engineer

• BS Degree in Engineering or a closely-related technical major
• 5+ years experience in manufacturing operation technical support
• Quality Engineering certification a plus
• Experience with leading structured problem solving activities
• Ability to apply Lean Six Sigma tools
